- We’re entering the era of the “Internet of Bodies”: collecting our physical data via a range of devices that can be implanted, swallowed or worn.
- The result is a huge amount of health-related data that could improve human wellbeing around the world, and prove crucial in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
- But a number of risks and challenges must be addressed to realize the potential of this technology, from privacy issues to practical hurdles.
Recently I was joined by Jimmy Genes to discuss something that is being dubbed “The Internet Of Bodies”.
The Internet of things (IoT) describes the network of physical objects—“things”—that are embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies for the purpose of connecting and exchanging data with other devices and systems over the Internet.
Now we are moving further into the digital world with talk of something that both the World Economic Forum & the Rand Corporation call “The Internet Of Bodies”.
A quote from the Rand corporations website reads…
Internet-connected “smart” devices are increasingly available in the marketplace, promising consumers and businesses improved convenience and efficiency. Within this broader Internet of Things (IoT) lies a growing industry of devices that monitor the human body and transmit the data collected via the internet. This development, which some have called the Internet of Bodies (IoB), includes an expanding array of devices that combine software, hardware, and communication capabilities to track personal health data, provide vital medical treatment, or enhance bodily comfort, function, health, or well-being. However, these devices also complicate a field already fraught with legal, regulatory, and ethical risks.
This sounds good on the surface but it opens up a level of surveillance that many will have even thought about. We have become accustomed to living in a world we are increasingly monitored by CCTV, smart devices & more, but now its going to the next level.
Recently I watched a video from the brilliant Truth Stream Media in which they talk about the move towards “under the skin surveillance” & I have included that below for you to learn more about the “brave new world” that awaits on the other side of The Great Reset.
The ‘internet of bodies’ isn’t something that is coming in the future, its already here & im here to tell you that you are already plugged in whether you like it or not.
Maybe its just me, but i dont remember anyone ever asking if we all wanted to be plugged into a matrix where governments will be able to know more about us than we know about ourselves
